THIS PUBLIC NOTICE IS:

Eternally committed to illuminating the sordid, tyrannical shenanigans lurking within the upper darby school district and its illustrious administrative hierarchy. Rest assured, this exposé is truthful and accurate and the lies they tell are real. It reveals the administrators and board members to be nothing more than uncouth puppets in a grand circus of incompetence, shamelessly unrepentant and richly deserving of their own downfall, yet somehow, they remain untouchable, basking in their own misguided glory.

A disciplinary hearing concerning a student who posted a meme he found on the internet, resulting in expulsion from the school district.

Evidence presented included school policies, a photo of the meme, and testimony confirming the student posted a seemingly threatening message on social media. A Safe2Say report prompted police investigation, which absolved the threat.

Participants included district representatives and their legal counsel, with the student and family attending voluntarily without legal representation. The hearing officer was appointed by the district.

The student's family received notice and attended the hearing. The student, aged 17 and in 11th grade, admitted to finding and posting the meme, which was shared among peers and deemed a terroristic threat under school policy. The district distinguished police findings from disciplinary standards, concluding the behavior violated the Code of Character, warranting expulsion

The district recommended expulsion including no further violations and participation in support programs. No evidence was found supporting the findings and determination of the disciplinary hearing and its recommendations to the school board.

The student is currently barred from school grounds and activities. Delays in the school board’s decision and related correspondence allowed the 30-day appeal period to expire, leaving the student’s parents with no option but to seek legal counsel they cannot afford. Meanwhile, the school district’s legal team was fully funded.
